Once through the courtyard you come to the entrance to the flat and enter into the living room. The living room is a light room with space for dining, relaxing and home working and provides storage cupboard and access to the bedroom and kitchen. The double bedroom is to the front aspect of the main building and is a very spacious room with storage cupboard built-in. The kitchen is entered from the living room and is very nicely, and recently, fitted with wall and floor units with worktop, inset sink, electric oven and hob with extractor, integrated dishwasher. Space and plumbing for a washing machine and fridge. A door leads you to a small hallway area with storage cupboard housing heating system and further doors leading to the courtyard and bathroom. The bathroom is fitted with good size walk-in shower, washbasin, WC and chrome heated towel rail.
Externally
Externally the courtyard garden is laid with stone slab paving leading to dry stone raised beds and steps rising up to a path which lead to the rear gate and a further stone shingle seating area. The rear gate is securely locked and currently has a Ring video doorbell for access. Summerlays Place was one of fourteen new terraces built in the Dolemeads area of Widcombe back in 1821. The land was owned by surveyor Mr. John Farmer who let the land out to be developed.
Location
Widcombe is a highly desired village to the south of the city famed for its parade of independent shops. The parade provides hairdressers, supermarkets, coffee shop, kitchen shop, AGA shop, newsagent off licence, renowned café/deli, vets, gift shop, burger bar, Chinese restaurant, massage spa, florist and three acclaimed public houses. A contributing factor to the villages popularity is its proximity to the city itself with Bath Spa station less than a 5 minute walk away and close to bus routes to the university. A short walk up Widcombe Hill and you find yourself on the Bath Skyline walk and its city views. Likewise nearby Alexandra Park provides what some claim to be the best views of the city. Nearby you will also find access to the River Avon and Kennet & Avon canal and Bath Cricket Club.
